Mitigation Manager

Berlin, CT$85,000 annual salary + bonus plan

About the role

The Mitigation Division Manager is responsible for the overall success and performance of Total Restoration’s Mitigation Division, overseeing our water, fire, mold, and contents operations. You’ll lead and develop Project Managers and field teams while ensuring projects are completed efficiently, profitably and safety, while maintaining customer satisfaction standards. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes ownership, develops people, solves problems, and drives accountability. You’ll be responsible for continuing to help build our high-performing team and creating the systems, efficiencies, and culture necessary for the division to consistently succeed. Responsibilities Include: * Own the overall performance, profitability, and success of the Mitigation Division * Lead, coach, develop, and hold Project Managers and field teams accountable * Monitor active projects to ensure proper scope, documentation, scheduling, production, and timely completion * Track division KPIs, job costs, labor efficiency, equipment utilization, gross profit, and overall production performance * Ensure Project Managers maintain ownership and accountability for their individual projects * Ensure appropriate staffing, scheduling, and allocation of crews and resources * Ensure work is performed according to company procedures, applicable IICRC standards, and safety requirements * Identify operational bottlenecks and implement solutions that improve efficiency and profitability * Develop and enforce processes, procedures, and standards throughout the division * Recruit, train, develop, and retain high-performing team members * Work closely with estimating and administrative teams to ensure projects move efficiently from production through estimating, billing, and closeout * Review job performance and identify opportunities to improve scope, productivity, documentation, and profitability * Oversee shop and fleet managers * Step in and provide leadership when difficult customer, employee, or project situations require escalation

Skills & requirements

  • Proven leadership experience managing teams in the restoration, construction, or property services industry
  • Strong working knowledge of water, fire, mold, sewage mitigation and contents packout
  • Knowledge of applicable IICRC standards and industry best practices
  • Strong understanding of job costing, gross profit, labor efficiency, and operational KPIs
  • Ability to manage multiple active projects, teams, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, develop, and hold employees accountable
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to develop, implement, and enforce processes, procedures, and performance standards
